RPC(Research-Proposal) & FSC(Full-Study) Competitions are open to all postgraduate students whose papers on tourism and hospitality are selected for presentation. “Research-Proposal-Competitions” is adopted as the format for students to present their research using one slide within a stipulated time frame. While RPC is for students who have not done their proposal defense, FSC is for those who have defended their Full-Study  A panel of guest judges will evaluate the students’ presentations and nominate RPC and FSC winners. Dr. Andy Nazarechuk

Andy Nazarechuk is considered one of the world’s foremost authorities on international tourism education in the hospitality industry. He has over twenty-five years’ experience in the Las Vegas and International Education. Dr. Andy Nazarechuk, Past President of APacCHRIE (Asia’s largest Hospitality Educators Association), is a leader in both the academic and the professional worlds of hospitality development. Dr. Andy Nazarechuk successfully completed his position at Taylors University as Senior VP of International Relations for Taylor’s University, Malaysia. Dr. Andy is based in Subic Bay, Philippines.

Prof. Perry Hobson

Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement Sunway University, Malaysia. Dr J. S.Perry Hobson holds a BSc (Hons) in Hotel & Catering Management from Oxford Brookes University (UK), a MS in Hotel, Restaurant & Travel from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (USA), and a PhD from Southern Cross University (Australia). He has been the Editor-in Chief of the Journal of Vacation Marketing since 1999, and is on the Board of Directors of the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) accreditation body. He is a past-President of both APacCHRIE and also CAUTHE in Australia.

Prof. Dr. Hsuan Hsuan Chang (Taiwan)

Dr. Hsuan Hsuan Chang is currently the full-time professor for Department of Leisure and Recreation Management, School of Tourism, Ming Chuan University. She is also the deputy director for Integrated VR research center, Ming Chuan University. She has been actively involved in multidisciplinary tourist traveling behavioural, and Virtual Reality Marketing research and consultancy projects, covering topics and issues related to tourist wayfinding behavior, tourist-to-tourism encounter impact, VR and its marketing effect, and etc.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Cham Tat Huei (Malaysia)

Dr. Cham Tat Huei is currently an Assistant Professor and the Head of Programme for PhD & MPhil at the Faculty of Accountancy and Management, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia). Dr Cham holds the position of Research Associate at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Research Advisor for Co-operative Institute of Malaysia (CIM), and Research Fellow at UCSI University of Malaysia. Moreover, Dr Cham also serves as the auditor of the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA) under the purview of the Malaysian Government and as the academic assessor for the Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21), Japan. As an active researcher, Dr. Cham has published numbers of international refereed journal articles and his research interest focuses on medical tourism and marketing. Dr. Cham serves as an editorial review board member for several international journals and is currently the Managing Editor for the Journal of Marketing Advances and Practices (JMAP). To date, he is a certified trainer for Alibaba.com and Human Resources Development Fund (Malaysia).

Dr. Lilibeth Aragon (Philippines)

Dr. Lilibeth Aragon is currently the Dean of the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila’s College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management. She is an Accreditor for Tourism, Hospitality and Graduate programs of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). She currently serves as the Internal Vice President of the Association Of Administrators In Hospitality, Hotel And Restaurant Management Educational Institutions (AAHRMEI) and Board Member of the Philippine Association of Researchers for Tourism and Hospitality. She is also an ASEAN Master Trainer, the first batch to represent the Philippine delegation last 2012 held at Bali, Indonesia.  She is Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and Trainer by American Hospitality Lodging and Education Inc. (AHLEI).

Dr. Aaron Tham (Australia)

Dr. Aaron Tham (mtham@usc.edu.au) is a program coordinator of the tourism, leisure and events major at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia. He is also an active researcher, with publications in leading tourism journals such as Tourism Management, International Journal of Tourism Research and Tourism Recreation Research, among others. His primary research interests are concentrated in two main areas of emerging technologies and event legacies. Aaron is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been involved in organizing and chairing several tourism-related academic conferences in the Asia Pacific region.
